Between myself, my parents and my future in-laws, lots of leftover Halloween candy has accumulated in my cupboard. The recipe below was the perfect solution to a (not really) problem.
Slightly adapted from this recipe.
1/4 cup Butter
/3 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Corn Starch
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Assorted candy, chopped into small chunks (I also added a handful of oreo cookies and some pretzels)
Preheat oven to 350, and grease an 8 inch baking tin.
1. Cream together butter and sugar. Add in the sour cream, milk, and vegetable oil, and mix until smooth. Add the vanilla.
2. Combine the dry ingredients, and slowly mix in until mixture is smooth.
3. Stir in the candy.
4. Pour batter into sheetpan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean.
